Welcome to The Strip Shoppe. We are a small furniture stripping and refinishing company located in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Judi Wolford is the owner of The Strip Shoppe and has vast experience in this line of work. She is also the owner of Creative Coverings Upholstery, located in the same building. This allows us to offer you a full service furniture shop with a single stop!
We do not dip your furniture to strip them. We use a newer flow-over system which allows us to better control the flow of stripper onto your furniture. It also means that your piece is not left soaking in stripper for any amount of time.
If it is wood, we can probably repair it, strip it, refurbish it, or just about anything you would like done. We have done all the normal types of finishes, as well as many faux finishes.
Many times a customer will have an older piece that just no longer goes with the current decor of the home. We can make them ligher, darker, redder, etc to match your surrounding. If the piece needs some repair, no problem! Missing parts - almost never a problem. We have done everything from a faux finish on side tables, complete restoration of an antique dining table, to rebuilt legs on a pre-civil war sofa.
We offer free in-home consultations and estimates in our service area, as well as free pick up and delivery in that same area.
